What a SHOW

Well its all over, and what a show we had this past weekend.  Here is some of the exhibitor feedback I have received:

We really enjoyed the day. We thought the location and show was very well run and my kids had a great time thanks for all the work the club put into a great show.

Thank you too for a nicely run show, I was home for dinner I think that was a first for me attending a show. Hope to see you next year.

To the Forest City RBC and all its members - thank you very much for a wonderful day….it was a long one and I'm really stiff this morning. I don't know what your final count was but there seemed to be enough animals to keep three judges busy for most the day. It is a feather in your cap (the clubs) to have the participation of so many youth - that was really impressive. Betty's wonderful farm was done up so beautifully and offered so much to the exhibitors. I've not been to a nicer show anywhere.

I don't have enough great things to say about the show! The venue was wonderful, I hope we can have it their again. This was the best showing of sportsmanship I have seen EVER in my 3 years of showing rabbits. Everyone was in good spirits, friendly and helpful, I wish more clubs would follow in Forest City's foot steps. I am very happy to now be a part of this growing organization.

Thanks for all your efforts in making yesterday's show most enjoyable. Sorry I had to leave a bit early. Your very timely show reports are most appreciated at will no doubt set the standard for other club to follow, thanks and congratulations.

Excellent venue, it's so nice here, more clubs should do shows like this, really enjoyed myself

Should do this a bit earlier in the year so people worried on weather will come. Like the beginning or end of May.

Nice to see so many kids involved. It is so nice to have them here.

Couple exciting developments on the show front.  Registrar Paula Murdock-Briggs has agreed to attend to register rabbits at our show.  If you have any rabbits to register, please save them for this show to support Paula as she is joining us all the way from New York!!

Second, Joyce Jones from Bunnyview Inc. is going to attend our show as a cage dealer.  Please check out her website, if you need any cages or supplies, please wait and purchase them from Joyce at the show to support her in making the effort to attend.  Please contact her through the website to pre order if you need anything specific so she can have it ready for pick up at the show for you.

We are really putting together a great show with truly everything you could want in a show!  Great work everyone.

I created a facebook event for the show a great suggestion by Club Member Robin Rae.  I think if you click here you can get to it

For those of you that have facebook, please like it, join it,, share it, whatever you can.  Should be good networking.

Good news, Ed White has sponsored the sanctioning of Silvers through the National Silver Club and he is planning to attend.  Great to get a good diversity of breeds at the show!

2013 SHOW

SPECIAL THANKS to our secretary Eugene for all of his personal time re- working on this show for all of us, plus all rabbit breeders in the area.:)

We for sure have high hopes for this show, it for sure is setting a new precedent being a very unique venue. It will be very exciting to host judges (bed and breakfast) and make show setup a fun friendly family event rather then just work. LOL

Everyone should be mindful of the time period from now until the show and plan to be prepared to have some show rabbits ready for June 29th -still lots of time to have some juniors ready ( under 6 months) by breeding soon? most juniors seem to show best between 4-5 months old. Also take a look at your kits born late this fall to see if any might do well on the show table in June as seniors. If u have nothing worthy to breed now is a great time to get in touch with fellow breeders to inquire if they may have something to sell that u might like to enter.

Just be sure u enter- everyone has to start sometime- rabbit people at shows are all ever friendly and very helpful- u yourself do not need any special talent ( leave that for the judges) all u need to do is place your rabbit on the table.

Be sure to invite all your rabbit friends to join the club and do not be shy to write a blurb on this blog sight-ask other members questions etc. .Eugene has done a great job of setting up this web sight so lets make the most of it.

Thanks again to everyone that has joined.

Lets look forward to a GREAT CANADA DAY show
